HDMI – The HDMI cable allows you to transmit high-definition video and audio to your TV.

  1. Turn on the Terminal by pressing “CBL” on your remote control.
  2. Turn on your TV and select the appropriate VIDEO input (HDMI 1, 2 or 3)  using your TV’s remote control.
  3. Complete the Quick-Start Wizard that automatically appears when your  Terminal is turned on for the first time.

  1. Turn on your TV.

  2. Hold down the OK and MUTE buttons until the TV button flashes twice, then let go.

  3. Hit the TV button once. The red indicator light should remain lit.

  4. Refer to the table below to find the right code for your TV (like Example 2 for LG). Point the remote towards the TV and enter your code. The TV button should blink twice and the TV should turn off.

  5. Press the OK button to lock in the code.

  6. Turn your TV back on. If the remote still doesn’t work, repeat steps 2-5 or use the automatic programming feature.

  7. Once you’ve successfully programmed your remote control, go to Settings and Applications in the My illico window and select Settings.

  8. Go to Equipment Settings and make sure that the volume is controlled through the TV.

You can access our Help Portal from the main menu, or go to, where you’ll find instructional videos and answers to the most frequently asked questions. To access the Help Portal from the illico TV main menu, press “MENU” on your remote control, select “My illico,” then select “What’s new.”

You may have activated the Terminal’s “Mute” function while programming the remote control by pressing “OK/SELECT” and “MUTE.” If this is the case, press the “VOL+” button on your Terminal. This will disable the “Mute” function and bring the sound back.

Check to make sure the power cord to the Terminal is well connected. If this does not solve the problem, reboot the Terminal by following the instructions opposite. If the problem still persists, please contact Videotron Technical Support at 1-877-380-2611.

Once you have ensured the TV is properly connected with the HDMI cable, reboot the Terminal. If the problem continues, it is possible your TV is not compatible with the Terminal’s HDMI port. You must then use a component cable as an alternative connection. Since a component cable is not provided with the Terminal, please contact your retailer or Videotron Technical Support at 1-877-380-2611.
