Before installing your wireless access, note that certain computer and peripheral manufacturers include software with their products. Use this rather than the Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration.
To use your wireless access with Windows XP, double-click the wireless connection icon in the Windows notification area.
Then select your wireless network.

If you have configured your wireless router to not broadcast your network name (SSID), you will have to reactivate it because the Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration utility is incompatible with hidden networks.
Click “Connect,” enter your password or secret phrase, and click “Connection.”
When authentication is successful, your wireless connection should be activated.
If you have subscribed to Videotron Security Services, additional information—a complete report on your wireless network security—will be displayed.
