Videotron customers: you have free access to exclusive content from Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec apps. Customers who would like to avail of this privilege must download the apps from Google Play. The operating system on the customer’s Android phone must be  version 2.3.1 or higher. This service is exclusively available to Videotron customers.


Click on the Settings tab of your device Image_parametre or  Image_parametre_2 , and take note of the operating system version. Select About Your Phone. The number of the version marked in the section entitled Android Version should be 2.3.1. or higher.

Click on the Play Store tab Icone_appstore on your Android mobile phone.

In the search field of the app store, enter Le Journal de Montréal or Le Journal de Québec.

Select the Le Journal de Montréal  img-app-mtl or Le Journal de Québec Application_journal_de_quebec  app.


Click Install, then Accept and Download.


Your device will let you know when the app has been downloaded.


To launch the app, click Open on the download page, or close the window and access the app by selecting the icon in your device’s app menu.

As a Videotron mobile customer, you can read all kinds of content from the Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec mobile apps without having to subscribe or sign in.

All Videotron mobile customers with an Android phone that operates on version 2.3.1 or higher can install the

Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec apps on their device, and thus enjoy free access to their content.

These apps are compatible with Android mobile phones that operate on version 2.3.1 or higher. The apps are not, however, compatible with tablets. The following is a list of mobiles sold by Videotron that are compatible with the apps:

No. Our customers only get access to content from the mobile apps. Access to the website’s content is limited

(you must pay a user fee to access it), whether you try to access it via a computer, mobile phone or tablet. Only  subscribers can access the Web content.

Yes. Videotron customers get free access to the exclusive content from the apps, but costs associated with bandwidth use apply, depending on which plan the customer is subscribed to. Please note that the apps operate via the mobile network and a Wi-Fi connection.
