Mail Windows 8

Step 1

Open Mail.

In order to add a new email inbox, move your mouse upper right corner to show the navigation bar.

Attention

You can’t use “Mail” if you do not have a Microsoft account.

“Mail” will ask you a Microsoft email and password to link your inbox.

Click Settings

Step 3

Click Accounts

Step 4

Click Add an account.

Step 5

Click Other Account.

Step 6

Select IMAP and click Connect

Step 7

Click Show more details

Step 8

In the field marked Email address, enter your Videotron email address in lower case and without accents.

In the field marked Username, enter your Videotron email address in lower case and without accents.

In the field marked Password, enter your password.

In the field marked Incoming (IMAP) email server: enter imap.videotron.ca

Enter 993 as port

Check Incoming server requires SSL.

In the field marked Outgoing (SMTP) email server: enter smtp.videotron.ca

Enter 465 as port

Check Outgoing server requires SSL.

Check Outgoing server requires authentication

Check Use the same username and password to send and receive email

Click Connect

Configuration is done.
