Mac Mail configuration with Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

WARNING: The following animation are a SIMULATION. In order to take effect, the actions described here need to be executed in your software.

Step 1

Run the Mac Mail application.In the menu bar, click on File then select Add Account from the drop-down menu.

Step 2

In the next window, enter your first and last name, your email address @videotron.ca and your account password.

Step 3

Next, select Manual Setup.

Step 4

Next, you’ll have to enter the server settings for Videotron’s incoming mail server: pop.videotron.ca (or pop.videotron.net if you have your own domain name), your username (VLxxxxxx) and your password.

Step 5

You do not have to configure Incoming Mail Security. You can skip this step by clicking on Continue.

Step 6

This section lets you enter the settings for Videotron’s SMPT outgoing mail server (relais.videotron.ca or relais.videotron.net if you have your own domain name). You do not need to activate authentication.

Step 7

You do not have to configure Outgoing Mail Security. You can skip this step by clicking on Continue.

Step 8

Once everything is configured, a window will display all the information pertaining to your email account. Please review this information to make sure it is correct. Then, click on Create to access your inbox.
