Platform migration for clients who didn't create their website through the self-serve platform (EasySiteWizard)

Online Presence Builder

Does the Online Presence Builder cost extra or affect my invoice?

No. The upgrade from the EasySiteWizard platform to the Online Presence Builder platform will have no impact on your invoice. The only invoicing impact that could be applicable is if you need to upgrade to a new web-hosting package. However, keep in mind that the latest web-hosting solutions offer more options and better upgrades. 

Do these changes impact my current website?

Most of your access will be maintained, and we‘ll look after everything so you can take full advantage of your new tools. We nevertheless recommend that you update your publication platform to ensure your website’s optimal performance, and to guarantee its security and reliability.


We suggest always keeping a backup copy using FTP or the File Manager Pro application.

What upgrades have been made to my Control Panel and management tools?

Your Control Panel (where you manage your services) has been upgraded to our new account management Portal. This upgrade includes a new look-and-feel, and easier navigation of everything you need to manage your website and other services.


Starting October 31, 2017, you can take a tour of your new Portal. Simply follow the same link as always and enter your current username and password. Next, click on the question mark in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

Where can I access my Portal and Online Presence Builder?
As of October 31st (the date of the upgrade), you can log in by following the same link as always and entering your current username and password.
Where can I reset my login password?
Beginning the day of the upgrade, we invite you to visit your account login page and provide your username. If you need to reset your password, select the “Forgot password?” option. A link to reset your password will be emailed to you. Once logged in, you can edit your username, email address, password and other details in your account settings.
Where can I set up my email addresses?
When you log in to the Portal, you can create and manage email accounts by selecting “Add an Email” from your Quick Access menu on the homepage, or by selecting Advanced Tools > Email > EasyMail Setup.
How do I check my email?

There are several different ways you can access your mail: through Webmail on your desktop or mobile devices, through a desktop email client (like Microsoft Outlook or Mac Mail), or through an email client on your mobile devices.


If you need detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to set up your email in an email client, open the EasyMailSetup in the Apps section, click “Launch” and select “Help” in the top right-hand corner of the window.

Will there be any changes to the way I view my website stats in the Portal?

Going forward, you will be able to access your website activity using the Analytics application. To start tracking your website activity, click on the Analytics tile in the Portal and add your desired domain(s).


Your legacy raw data will still be available through Log Manager, however the WebStats application will no longer be available to view the data in a graphical interface.

Sunset and Deprecated Applications

What does it mean if an application is being “sunset” or “deprecated”?

When an application is set to “sunset”, it means it will be available to existing customers for a fixed period of time following the upgrade. Applications set to “deprecated” will no longer be available to customers after the upgrade.


When the application is set to “sunset” or “deprecated”, support will no longer be offered for that application and it will no longer be accessible from the Portal. Your website and any related functionality of that application will continue to work; however, you will no longer be able to manage the application’s features.  

What happens to my existing website, if I created the website myself without the EasySiteWizard Pro?

What applications are being removed or will no longer be supported by the new website creation platform?

If I have used, or am using, an application that is being removed or that is no longer supported by the new platform, how will my published website be affected?
If your published website uses features or functionalities from an application being removed or that will no longer be supported, it should not be affected. However, the application tiles (icons) will be removed from your new control panel and you will no longer be able to use the application to manage your published services. The new platform offers some replacement options. In the event that there are no replacement options available on the platform, you will have to select the best option available on internet according to your needs and price range. Please note that we cannot make recommendations.

If you built your website using EasySiteWizard Pro, this application will cease to be available 12 months following your platform upgrade (scheduled for October 31, 2017). Your live website will not be affected, but you will lose the ability to manage or make changes to your EasySiteWizard website once this application is sunset. Our migration expert team will contact you and will make the necessary arrangements to recreate your website on the new platform. There will be no applicable fees for recreation of the exact same website. Fees will apply if you wish to customize or create a brand new website. These fees are $150 /hour, with a 2-hour minimum.


If you would like to keep a copy of your previous website, we suggest downloading a backup copy using FTP or the File Manager Pro application.

When will I get the call from the migration expert?
You should receive a call from our migration expert team between October 31, 2017 and October 31, 2018.
What information will I need to provide to the migration expert?
If it is a straight migration of the existing content from the current website (EasySiteWizard) to the new Online Presence Builder then you won’t be required to provide any additional content/information. However if you would like to add new content or make customizations then we may ask you to provide copy and or images in support of these changes and customizations. Fees will apply if you wish to customize or create a brand new website. These fees are $150 /hour, with 2-hour minimum.

How do I use the new Online Presence Builder?

If you choose not to proceed with our migration expert team, please follow the instructions below:

When you first log in to the Portal, click on the Websites tab and select Get Started to launch Online Presence Builder. Next, select a brand-new stylish design created by professionals (remember you can change your design at any time). Customizing your site is as easy as dragging and dropping your elements onto the page. Select elements from the left-hand menu (for example a heading, text or image), drag and drop it on to your web page, and double-click to edit the element.

Can I change my design once I select it?
Yes, you can change your design at any time. Select “Design” in the tool bar to view the available designs. You also have the option to preview how existing content will look with the new design before making the change.
Can I transfer my existing website to the new Online Presence Builder?
Not at this time. We built the new Online Presence Builder with fresh new designs that are SEO-friendly. Unfortunately this new platform is not compatible with the old one. However, If you created your website through the EasySiteWizard Pro tool, our migration experts will contact you within the next year to recreate your website on the new platform. There are no fees for recreating the exact same website. Customization will be available but you will be charged $150/hour, with a 2-hour minimum.
Do I need to build a separate mobile site with the Online Presence Builder?
No. Online Presence Builder uses responsive design to automatically adapt your site to look great on every device: desktop, mobile or tablet. There’s no need for you to spend time developing a separate, mobile-friendly site. Your website will automatically adapt to the device your visitors are using, with the important details front and centre. When designing and editing your website, you can preview how it looks on a desktop, tablet or mobile.

How do I rebuild my website using Online Presence Builder?

What happens to my existing website if I rebuild my website using Online Presence Builder?

If you choose not to proceed with our migration expert team, you could create your new website through the Online Presence Builder.

Your existing website will be overwritten once you publish your new website using Online Presence Builder. If you would like to keep a copy of your previous website, we suggest downloading a backup copy using FTP or the File Manager Pro application before publishing with Online Presence Builder.
