Remote control for Standard Digital Terminal and High-Definition Digital Terminal

Help

1. Turn ON all the devices you wish to control with the remote control.

2. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys until the POWER/MODE keys blink at a slow, random pace.

3. Press the CH+ key and keep it pressed until one of the device turns OFF. While holding the CH+ key, the POWER/MODE keys will blink at a fast pace. Once one of the devices has turned OFF, let go of the CH+ key and press the MUTE key.

If the device that was turned OFF turns back ON again, press the SELECT key to confirm the code. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.

If the device that was turned OFF does not turn ON again, press the CH- key until the device turns back ON. Each time you press the CH- key, the POWER/MODE keys will blink ONCE in rapid reverse succession.

4. Once the correct code is found and the device turns back ON, press the SELECT key. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.

5. Repeat steps 2 and 4 for all the other devices you wish to control with the remote.

1. Turn ON the device you wish to use with the remote control. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys until the POWER/MODE keys blink at a slow, random pace.

2. Find the code corresponding to the brand of your device in the provided list. If there is more than one code, try them one by one, with a brief pause between each, until the chosen device turns OFF.

3. Once the code is found, press the MUTE key.

If the device that was turned OFF turns back ON, press the SELECT key to confirm it. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.

If the device that was turned OFF does not turn back ON, repeat the previous steps using the other provided codes until the device can be turned OFF and ON again.

When the remote is programmed for the first time, the VOLUME and MUTE keys will control the volume and muting of your TV set. This does not apply to the AUDIO mode key: choosing this mode will control the volume of your audio unit. It is possible to change these settings:

1. On the remote, simultaneously press the CBL and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.

2. Press the VOL+ key, then the TV key if you wish to control your TV’s volume, or the CBL key if you wish to control the terminal’s volume.

3. The selected key will blink and turn OFF.

When using the CBL or TV modes, the TV/VCR key changes from the TV input to the Video input (RCA/S-Video) of your TV. In VIDEO mode, the remote control is activated to use the TV/VCR functions of your VCR. The TV/VCR key can be programmed so that, while using the CBL mode, it will activate the TV/VCR functions of your VCR without having to select the VIDEO mode on the remote control.

1. Simultaneously press the TV/VCR and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.

2. Press the VIDEO key. The CBL key will blink and then turn OFF.

3. To revert to the initial setting, repeat steps 1 and 2, and then press the TV key.

1. Simultaneously press the CBL and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.

2. Press twice on the SETTINGS key. The CBL key will blink and turn OFF.

The # key on the remote control can be used to Stretch or Zoom the image on HD terminals. It may become deactivated after a complete reset of the remote. Follow these easy steps to reactivate it:

1. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys (the MODE keys will light up in succession).

2. Enter one of the provided codes (see list below). The terminal will turn OFF.

3. Press the SELECT key to memorize the code. The MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.

Scientific Atlanta standard definition or HD code: 010 | Scientific Atlanta standard definition or HD PVR code: 412

Pace standard definition code: 004 | Pace HD code: 010

1. Simultaneously press the TV and SELECT keys to identify the correct code for your TV (or VCR and SELECT, DVD and SELECT, and AUDIO and SELECT instead). Keep both keys pressed until they light up.

2. Press the INFO key. The chosen device button will begin to blink a certain number of times. This number corresponds to one of the digits in the three-digit code for the device in question (each sequence is separated by a one-second break).

E.g. For the code 035, the key will blink 10 times for 0, followed by a one-second break, then three times, followed by another one-second break, and then five times.

From the get-go, the remote control is programmed to control all of your devices. The ALL key lets the remote turn ON/OFF all your devices at once (TV, VCR, DVD). It is also possible to program the remote to tune the TV to a specific channel (e.g. 03). Unfortunately, it is not possible for the remote to select an auxiliary source (e.g. video 1) for your TV.

You can program the ALL key so it will tune to a specific channel when pressed:

1. On the remote, select the cable mode (press the CBL key).

2. Simultaneously press the SETTINGS and ALL keys until the TV key lights up.

3. Press the 0 and 3 keys (you may have to enter 003 instead of 3 on certain TVs).

4. Press the CH+ key to confirm the operation. The TV key will blink and turn OFF.

Reset the ALL key (cancel tuning of a specific channel on your TV)

1. On the remote, select cable mode (press the CBL key).

2. Simultaneously press the SETTINGS and ALL keys until the TV key lights up.

3. Press the CH+ key to confirm the operation. The TV key will blink and turn OFF.

The remote control has two different modes. By default, it is in locked mode. Locked mode lets you use all the functions of the terminal and gives you limited use of the functions of the other devices.

Unlocked mode gives you the same control over the terminal, but offers greater control over other devices. We strongly advise against using unlocked mode because it can generate confusion. You could, for instance, be pressing the CH+ to change channels on the terminal, but instead end up changing the channels on your TV because you failed to press the CBL key beforehand to switch the remote from TV mode.

Note: By default, the remote control is in locked mode.

Using LOCKED mode (recommended):

1. Simultaneously press the CBL and MUTE keys until the CBL lights up.

2. Press 0, 0, 0 (zero key). The CBL key will blink and turn OFF.

Using UNLOCKED mode (not recommended):

1. Simultaneously press the CBL and MUTE keys until CBL lights up.

2. Press 9, 9, 9. The CBL key will blink and turn OFF.
