Dial tone problem

STEP 1
img-q18-a1If you have a cordless phone, make sure the base is properly plugged in.
Note : Your phone will not work in a power outage if its base isn't plugged in.
STEP 2
img-q18-a3Make sure the modem’s power cable is connected and that the socket is powered.
STEP 3
img-q18-a4Check whether the "Power" and "Online" lights are on.
STEP 4
imageIf the "Power" light isn't on, use a pointy object (like a pen or pencil) to lightly press the recessed RESET button on the back of your modem, holding it down for a few seconds. You'll feel a slight click.
STEP 5
img-q18-a5Wait until the Power, DS, US et ONLINE lights turn green.
Check the tone again. If the problem still occurs, move on to the next step.
STEP 6

If you still don’t hear a tone, unplug the phone cable located between the modem and wall socket.
STEP 8

STEP 9

STEP 10

Otherwise, contact Technical Support.
