How to use photo and video messaging?

You can send or receive an unlimited number of photos or videos per message with your mobile phone. Typing text on-screen and sending the message varies based on the type of device you have. Your mobile phone notifies you with a sound alert or by displaying a symbol or message on the screen when you’ve received a new photo or video message. All you have to do is open it and the files will be downloaded automatically if your phone allows it.

There are size limits when sending or receiving photos and videos on your phone. The limit authorized by Videotron’s network is 3 MB. Files that exceed this limit cannot be sent.

Yes, you can send or receive photo and video messages to a foreign contact. The process is the same as sending a message within Canada. The contact’s phone number must simply be preceded by the “+” symbol and country code. For example, to send a photo or video message to a contact in France, type +33 and your contact’s phone number.

Yes. To do so, you need to activate data roaming on your mobile phone.

However, if you’re outside the area covered by your plan, you’ll be charged roaming data transfer fees, depending on the size of the audio and video files being sent or received.
