Photo and video messaging
Photo and video messaging lets you send multimedia files to a contact’s mobile phone or email address.
Photo and video messaging, or MMS (Multimedia Message System), lets you send photos, videos, and other multimedia files to a contact’s mobile phone or email address.
This service is a practical way of sharing your discoveries. When travelling, for instance, you can send photos or publish them on social networks. The possibilities are endless!
If your contacts have a mobile phone offering this functionality, you can send them photo and video messages, no matter where you — or they — are. You can also send your multimedia files to a contact’s email address.
Your contact’s mobile phone will ring or vibrate to indicate that your message has arrived — almost immediately after you sent it. Photo and video messages can be exchanged between customers of most mobile-phone suppliers in the world.
The maximum file size depends on your mobile-phone’s capacity. To find out more, please refer to your mobile phone’s user guide. The limit authorized by the Videotron network is 600 KB. Files that exceed this limit cannot be sent.
Depending on your mobile phone, there are several ways of sending a photo and video message. Please refer to your mobile phone’s user guide.
Note: You cannot send a text, photo, or video message to a land line.
Your mobile phone informs you when a new message has arrived with a sound alert or by displaying a symbol or message on the screen.
If your mobile phone is turned off, or if you are outside the coverage zone, your messages will be stored for 7 days. They will be sent to you as soon as your mobile phone is able to receive them.
For more details, please refer to your mobile phone’s user guide.

Yes. Photo and video messaging is a simple way of staying in touch with friends, family, and colleagues who live outside the country. However, the zone must be served by a mobile communications provider that has a roaming agreement with Videotron and that supports photo and video messaging.
Note: Roamingcharges may apply and outside of Quebec, data is deducted.
The procedure is the same as sending a message within Canada. The contact’s phone number must simply be preceded by the “+” symbol and the country code.
For example, for the United-Kingdom, +44 XXX XXXX XXXX
