Long-distance calls

All you have to do is enter the number you wish to call on your mobile phone’s keypad, and then press SEND. The way the number is entered varies according to the kind of call you are making (local, long-distance, or international).

All you have to do is press SEND to answer a long-distance call.

The rules distinguishing local from long-distance calls in mobile telephony are different from those applying to a landline. Because of this, in contrast to residential telephony, you can be charged for long-distance calls you receive (incoming calls).

• In the case of incoming calls:
  A local incoming call is a call you receive on your mobile when you are in your local incoming call area, i.e. within the geographical zone associated with your mobile phone number.
  All the calls you receive on your mobile when you are outside this area are considered to be long-distance calls.
• In the case of outgoing calls:
  A local outgoing call is a call that you make from your mobile phone when the number you are entering corresponds to the local calling area you are in when you make the call.
  If you enter a number located outside the local calling area you are in, you are making a long-distance call.

Note: These definitions apply when you are within Videotron’s extended network.

• Enter the 10-digit number (area code + seven-digit number) you want to call on your mobile phone’s keypad (e.g. 514 123-4567)
• Press SEND

• Enter 1 followed by the 10-digit number (area code + seven-digit number) you want to call on your mobile phone’s keypad (e.g. 1 514 123-4567)
• Press SEND

• On your mobile phone’s keypad, enter “+” OR 011, + the country code, followed by the number you wish to call (e.g. + 33 9 12 34 56 78 OR 011 33 9 12 34 56 78)
• Press SEND
