Update your Galaxy Nexus operating system with a software update that will improve the performance and stability of your phone!
All Videotron customers with a Galaxy Nexus phone are strongly encouraged to download and install the software update
(free of charge), available as of now. The update will improve the camera’s features (PhotoSphere allows you to take 360-degree images), and thus increase its system response time. What’s more, the user can now add widgets to the Lock Screen such as Calendar, Gmail, SMS messages or other apps.
Follow these steps to start the software update:
In the phone menu, select:
then select “About phone”
Then “System updates”
Then “Check now”
The software update will pop up; now all you need to do is download it.
Lastly, select “Restart and install the update.”
- The software will automatically be sent to your phone via the mobile network.
You will not need to connect your phone to a PC.
- We highly recommend that you connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. This is the quickest and most reliable way to install it.
- Note that the update may also be downloaded while your phone is connected to the Videotron 4G network. All your contacts and photos, as well as the music, videos and applications that you had already downloaded will be saved once the update is complete.
- Note that due to the progressive nature of the distribution of the update, it is normal that some customers receive the update notification before others. If you still have not received a notification, please be patient, as you should receive it in the next few days.

Android keyboard settings: Select “Input Languages”
(“French” will already be selected).
“Input Languages”/“Android Keyboard”: Uncheck the box marked “Use the system language.”

The keyboard is now set to QWERTY!
