A free operating system upgrade is available to any Videotron customer with a Nexus One mobile phone.
You don’t have to do anything. The update will be sent to your device automatically by the mobile network. No connections are necessary.
What to do
You will receive notification on the screen of your Nexus One device, as shown in the illustration below.
It is strongly recommended that you start the update after connecting your device to a Wi-Fi network. This is the fastest and most reliable method of receiving and installing it.
Note that the update can also be performed for free when your device is connected to the Videotron network. All contacts, photos, music, videos and applications you have downloaded will be saved after the update.
Please follow the instructions below:
The download will then start.
When the download is complete, select “Restart & install.”
The telephone will restart. When the download is complete, confirm the update by selecting the Menu key and then “Settings.” Then go to “About the phone.”
You will see that Android version 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) is now installed.

- Simplified menu navigation
- Added “Downloads” application in the device’s menu for easier, PC-style download management
