If the Purchase a Data Add-on option doesn’t display on your Customer Centre page, contact Customer Service via chat or phone for assistance.

No, you can’t view your Internet data usage on the User Centre + mobile app or use it to purchase or manage Internet Data Add-ons. But you can use it to manage your mobile data usage.

To retrieve your login information, click Forgot Username? or Forgot Password? on the Customer Centre login page.

No. Purchasing a Data Add-on will not cancel an overage charge if you already exceeded the monthly data limit for your plan.

No. Once notifications are sent by text or email, we have no control over their receipt. We cannot guarantee that you will receive them correctly or on time.

To ensure you receive Internet usage notifications:

  1. In the Account and Billing section of your Customer Centre page, go to Manage your communication preferences.
  2. Ensure that the boxes in the Your service notices section are checked.
  3. Save your changes if applicable.

Also check your contact information:

  1. In the Customer Centre, go to the Internet section and click on View your Internet usage notifications.
  2. If necessary, change the email address or mobile phone number used to send notifications and save your changes.

Whether it’s web browsing, email exchanges, online gaming, various downloads, or using networked gaming consoles, any activity on the Internet generates data usage.

However, some activities use more data than others:

  • Streaming video or audio content on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney +, ICI TOU.TV, the Helix TV app, etc.
  • File sharing with sharing software (P2P), e.g., software using the torrent protocol.
  • Online games on XBOX LIVE, PlayStation Network, computer, etc.
  • Online sharing and storage on cloud servers such as Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.
  • Using and updating smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Adding connected objects, such as surveillance cameras.
