Click the Apple menu and then “System Preferences.”
Click the Network icon.
Select AirPort in the upper left of the screen.
Choose your wireless network from the dropdown menu.
If you don’t see a padlock next to the connection, refer to the “Securing your wireless network” section.
When asked, enter the passphrase you configured your router with.
To make sure you have not made an error, check “Display password.”
You can also put a check next to “Ask to connect to new networks,” if, for instance, you use your com puter in different places.
Click “Apply” when finished.
If everything is fine, the AirPort connection will turn green (in the upper left of the screen) and the following message will appear: “AirPort is connected to (name of your wireless network) and has the IP address 192.168.x.x.”
Then confirm the network you are using with the icon showing the wireless connection, in the upper right of the screen; a check will be appear next to it.
The presence of the padlock confirms that the network is secure.
If you can’t see your network in the list, add it with the “Other” button:
