Click “Start” and then “Control Panel.”
Double-click “Network Connections.”
Double-click “Local Area Connection.”
Select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and then click “Properties.”
Make sure that “Obtain an IP address automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address automatically” have been checked.
Click “OK” to confirm the information.
Click “OK” to confirm the information on connection properties.
Click on the “Support” tab.
Take down the IP (or IPV4) address provided. This address must start with the number 192. If this is not the case, repeat the previous steps.
Click “Close” to close all active windows and then restart your computer if you are asked to.
You can now move on to configuring your router.
