In the Apple menu, click on “Network” and then “System Preferences.”
Click “Built-in Ethernet.”
Make sure that “Configure IPv4,” is set to “Using DHCP,” and then click “Renew DHCP Lease.”
Make sure that the IP address starts with 192.168. If this is not the case, repeat the previous steps. Carefully take down the IP address that appears.
You can leave the “DHCP Client ID,” “DNS Servers” and “Search Domains” fields empty, since they will be completed automatically.
If you have made any modifications, click “Apply Now.” Otherwise, close the window.
You can now move on to configuring your router.
