Outlook Express 6 - Configuration

 WARNING: The following pages are a SIMULATION. In order to take effect, the actions described here need to be executed in your software.

Please open Outlook Express 6.

Select Tools in the menu bar. 

Select Accounts.

Click on Mail tab. 
  

Select Vidéotron and click on Properties

At the item Mail account type pop.videotron.ca

At the item Name: type your name as you would like it to appear when sending e-mails.

At the item E-mail address: type your address in lower case followed by @videotron.ca

At the item Reply Address: you may type a reply address if different from above

Click on Servers tab to continue or click OK to save and quit.
  

At the item Incoming mail (POP3): type pop.videotron.ca in lower case.

At the item Outgoing mail (SMTP): type relais.videotron.ca in lower case.

At the item Account name: type your Internet username in lower case (e.g.: vlxxxxxx).

At the item Password: type your password in lower case.

Click on Connection tab to continue or click OK to save and quit. 
  

Please ensure that the box in front of Always connect to this account using: is checked.

Select Local Area Network in the scrolldown menu even if you use a dial-up connection.

Click on Security tab to continue or click OK to save and quit. 
   

The Security tab gives details about digital identifications.

Click on Advanced tab to continue or click OK to save and quit.

  

Options in the Advanced tab are for experienced users.

To review your settings, click on the appropriate tab or click OK to save and quit.
