Find disconnection information

Moving? Make sure to bring your modem to your new address. You simply need to disconnect from the electrical outlet and detach the coaxial cable from the modem. However, if you are also subscribed to a Telephone service, you will have an MTA modem and the cable will be locked with a safety socket that prohibits you from detaching the coaxial cable, so you will need to cut it.

Don’t worry! Cutting the coaxial cable presents no danger of electrocution. However, make sure that you use a solid enough tool, like a wire cutter, in order to avoid any risk of injury as you proceed.

Not sure which one is the coaxial cable? Our video tutorial will tell you everything you need to know!
